MISSION

The mission at the Nurses Education & Research Fund is to support the professional practice, education and research of nurses and midwives at Flinders Medical Centre.

VISION

To engage all nurses and midwives at Flinders Medical Centre in professional development opportunities through their membership with the Nurses Education and Research Fund.

NERF was established with the aim of promoting educational and professional development of nurses and midwives at Flinders Medical Centre.

Some of NERF Member Highlights

Financial Assistance

NERF provides financial assistance to all members to promote excellence in professional nursing and midwifery practice, in accordance with the grant allocation guidelines.

Seminars and Education

Members can access seminars and education programs run by NERF at a reduced cost or may be free of charge.

Qualifying Period

There is a qualifying period of 12 months for new members prior to applying for financial assistance to attend intrastate, interstate and overseas conferences/seminars/workshops.

Promote Research

NERF promotes clinical research in nursing and midwifery designed to extend the knowledge on which nursing practice and education is based.
